FLOWING COLORADO SERIES

2019 | Garden Center Gallery, CO

2018 | Community Creative Center, CO

The pale pinks, oranges, and strong reds that play true scandals in the sunrise and sunset lights, or those intermixed with browns and greens that give energy to a clear summer day. The peace of casual lavenders over a hidden valley, the silvers of moons floating over cold waters, and pearly whites emerging from magnificent lenticular clouds also add to the long list of colors that this series attempts to bring together: the palettes of Colorado landscapes throughout the seasons.

A TRIBUTE TO GABRIEL GARCÍA MÁRQUEZ

April 17, 2015 | Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO

BRIDGE SERIES

From the dawn of time, bridges played transcendental roles for humanity. Bridges, imperative in the search of survival, as gates to explore unknown pieces of the mosaic the world was and is; bridges, connecting cities and even continents.
The epicenter of this new series is the concept of the bridge and the hope of a state-of-the-art version of it; survival built on mutually enriching interactions that will bring compassion and, for the first time, all pieces of the mosaic together.

SERIES PATAGONIAN PETALS

April , 2016 | Bath Garden Center, Fort Collins, CO

This series was inspired by the flower beds at my mother's garden in the Argentine Patagonia. I still remember the passion and dedication she invested in her colorful flower beds. The swarm of suspended petals during the frequent windy days that mixed fragrances within an already sea-scented air. My childhood, my mother, and the echoes of those swirls of Patagonian petals in my memory gave identity to my painting.

TRIBUTE TO JACKSON POLLOCK AND ASTOR PIAZZOLLA

A fusion between image and tango

Gesso, acrylic, and enamel

Capturing energy of Pollock and the transgressor rhythms of Piazzolla made these paintings temporarily take the reins, becoming the main characters in a rare hybrid space between music and color.

MY STORY

This idea started with a drawing book in hand, during a warm fall afternoon, a few years ago. I walked my idea of linking Piazzolla and Pollock through a rare space within which they appeared already connected.
The bold changes in the metric of tango and the disorder in the color, both, led me to paint my collection Four Porteño Seasons. I tend to see in those paintings the transgressor rhythm and the regularities that break the chaos, and naturally, the cycles of color and life in that Buenos Aires. The painting Adiós Nonino not only borrowed a Piazzolla’s title but, being the last of this collection shared the essence of Piazzolla’s farewell to his father.
Libertango, Resurrection of the Angel, and Solitude are other paintings that tried to hand Jackson Pollock to a bandoneón.
